Celebrate the Marriage of Platinum by Caravanning
The Jim and Edna Rawcliffe, fascinated caravanners, celebrate a happy marriage of seventy years.
The secret to 70 years of marriage has caravanning, the two 89; the family of Rawcliffe always is hung on their caravan.
The couple of Longridge, that lives now some To Cut Unity will celebrate their platinum birthday to the Arms of Alston with the family and the friends.
The Jim and Edna Rawcliffe met at the age of 15 to a dance to Claughton-sur-Brock the Lobby of Town and never looked at in the back, marrying for four years later to St Hilda Church, Bilsborrow. Edna said: "I can remember day clearly. It did the storm and rain. But when we went out of the church that the sun shined".
Apreds their marriage that the couple transferred to a rented farm to Leyland and to some years transferred later to Hill of Priest where they lived and worked to a farm for 40 years. They took the retirement to Longridge 24 years ago.
It seems that uniform caravanning kept relaxed them although Edna said that sometimes she "the husband drives a little quickly".
Next to caravanning, the long secret of their comradeship and to last pays attention to and "gives and takes". Edna said: "I suffered from the assaults of blows and heart and Jim always paid me attention to. The secret to remain together and the happy being is gives and takes".
The couple has four children: Harry, 69, Lilian, 63, Edna, 55 and Kathleen, 53. There are 15 grandchildren and also 15 big one-small-children with another on the manner.
Caravanning was never if of popular and fame as Margaret Beckett or as geai-kay well all are known fans. Despite his promotion to the foreign secretary (since May 6, 2006, the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and of Republic), Mrs Beckett always plans its vacation of normal caravans.
Caravanning be a question of liberty. You can go where that the mood takes you.
